Many suppliers presenting themselves as factories on Alibaba or at trade fairs are trading companies. Some have recently changed their name, have frozen bank accounts, are defendants in a string of quality claims, or are on the list of dishonest judgment debtors. All of this is in Chinese public records, and almost none of it shows up in an English-language supplier profile.
Our report covers the supplier's registered Chinese name and unified social credit code, registered and paid-in capital, shareholders and legal representative, whether manufacturing is within its business scope, whether its registered address matches the factory you were shown, litigation and enforcement records, administrative penalties, and any trademarks or patents it has filed that overlap with your brand or product.
The report ends with a plain conclusion: factory or trader, the red flags, and what should go into the contract as a result. It is based on public records and is delivered within 3 business days. An on-site factory audit is a different service, carried out by inspection companies.
