Privacy Policy

How this website collects, uses and keeps information you provide through the enquiry form or by email. Last updated: 14 October 2026.

This website is operated by Han Feng, a PRC-licensed lawyer practising with Tiantai Law Firm Shanghai Office. We collect only what we need to respond to your enquiry. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we use one analytics tool, Google Analytics, described below.

What we collect

Information you submit through the enquiry form: name, email, client type, matter type, counterparty name, deadline information and a short description. Information you provide by email. When you browse the site, our hosting provider records technical data such as IP address and browser type as part of normal operation; web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google servers.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, provided by Google, to count visits, see which pages are read and measure how many visitors send an enquiry. It sets cookies and receives your IP address, browser and device information and the pages you view; Google may process this data outside mainland China. We do not send Google the content of your enquiry or your name or email. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent first, and analytics cookies are not set unless you accept; you can withdraw by clearing this site's data in your browser. You can also block Google Analytics with Google's opt-out browser add-on.

How we use it

Only to understand and respond to your enquiry, carry out a conflict check, decide whether and how we can act, and, if you instruct us, provide legal services. We do not use your information for unrelated marketing.

Where it is stored and for how long

Form submissions are received by our hosting provider, Netlify, and forwarded to our business mailbox; the servers involved may be located outside mainland China. Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are generally deleted within 24 months of the last contact. Where you instruct us, files are kept in line with the law firm's file-management rules and legal requirements.

Sharing

Where necessary to handle your matter, and after telling you, we may share relevant information with colleagues at Tiantai, local lawyers or other professionals we work with. We do not otherwise disclose it to third parties unless required by law.

Your rights

You may ask at any time to access, correct or delete the personal information you have provided, or withdraw your consent, by writing to han@hanfenglegal.com. We will reply within a reasonable time.

Please do not send sensitive information

At the initial-contact stage, please do not send identity documents, bank details, health information, complete contracts or other confidential documents. Formal engagement and secure document transfer will be arranged after a conflict check.

Changes

This policy may be updated to reflect legal requirements or changes to the website. The current version will be posted on this page with its date.
